Alex, from St. Anne's College, teaching the students. The classes start simply and it is hoped that students gain confidence and can then use English more and more in their everyday excursions into town.
The classes are conducted in a Victorian house in the grounds of St. Anne's College, with french windows opening out onto a lawn.
No trip to England would be complete without tea and scones for afternoon tea. Students relaxing after classes in the patio of what is now a hotel but was? originally a parsonage, built in 1638.
Meeting the locals. ROSE students befriend the waiter. A open-top double-decker bus tour of Oxford. Fantastic but chilly way to see this beautiful and historic city. The weather since we have ROSE moves to Cambridge tomorrow, and we will hopefully find some summer weather waiting for us there.
